Beautiful carved Chinese camphor chest/ trunk! The details:
gorgeous deep Blue Gray high gloss paint finish on the exterior (De Nimes by Farrow & Ball)
brass hardware details on hinges and lock + latch mechanisms
working lock and key included-- lock box (engraved with designs) fits through the latch on the front, and the accompanying flat key slots into the lock box to open it up
unfinished camphor wood interior (a natural moth and insect repellent wood, as this chest would have usually been used to transport fabrics, teas, etc)
claw feet with gryffin or lion heads above at each of the 4 corners
measures 40.5" L x 21.5" W x 23.5" H
