Weatherwood Stains Varnishes (Quarts)

Sale Price:$21.00 Original Price:$42.00
sale

Weatherwood Pre-Catalyzed Conversion Varnish Topcoats work to hold your oxidized-look true while providing architectural-grade durability. Available in three sheens (Dead Flat, Satin, and Super Gloss), the Varnishes are suited for unsealed interior cabinetry, furniture, millwork, etc. They're also suited for high-traffic and high-moisture areas. The more sheen in the Varnish, the darker the stain may appear (ie; Flat will not visibly affect the color, while Satin may darken the stain a shade or two). All Varnishes are water-based, low-VOC, and non-yellowing. Dead Flat will appear flat/matte with little to no color change, Satin has a subtle sheen and may darken a stain a shade or two, while Super Gloss is semi-gloss and may also darken stains.

To apply:

  • Stir all Varnishes thoroughly from bottom-up or shake well.

  • Use a brush, roller, or paint sprayer to apply one liberal coat in the direction of the grain. Product will look milky at first but will dry completely clear. We love using the Annie Sloan Flat Brushes, Artisan Enhancements® Topcoat Brush, or Foam Rollers to apply the Waterproofer. **When spraying, all Varnishes may be thinned up to 15% with water.

  • You may apply a second coat in the same manner between 2-48 hours from the first coat, and same for a third coat. Apply 2-3 coats for high-traffic and high-moisture areas.

  • Use when temperatures are 55 degrees F or above.

  • 1 qt. covers approximately 100 sq.ft. of smooth surface, and 1 gallon covers approximately 400 sq.ft. of smooth surface.

  • Easy soap and water cleanup!

For use over hardwood, softwood, veneers-- interior only! Not intended for exterior use. May be used over surfaces that have been sealed with Weatherwood Maintenance Oils that have been fully cured. Humidity may extend dry times.
