Mineral Spirits are solvents that can be used for many things- cleaning up extremely greasy and sticky surfaces prior to painting, to mix with Dark Waxes or Antiquing Waxes to make them thinner and take on a glaze-like consistency, to wipe away a freshly waxed surface if you feel like you need to reapply or 'fix' it, to thin out Tung Oil, and more.
Even though it's low-odor, make sure to have ventilation when using indoors, and make sure you don't have any sensitivities to it prior to use.
