The Modern Masters® Metallic paints are low-VOC, water-based latex hybrid, and give you a consistent metallic finish for your furniture, decor, and interior work! Achieve a metallic look that doesn't turn out flat and bland like spray paints, since these contain real metallic pigment. Make sure to prep surfaces extra well prior to painting with this style of paint:

• clean and remove any grease, wax, or other kind of buildup

• prime with a primer approved for water-based latex paints (like Zinsser Smart Prime)

• apply Metallics with a soft, smooth brush (like the Topcoat Brush or Annie Sloan Flat Brush)

• apply an approved non-yellowing, liquid topcoat when finished for high-traffic surfaces (like Tough Coat or Clear Finish)

• **do not add water to the paint, as it will shorten the dry time and flatten the metallic pigments.
